    You can really tell Apple is all about aesthetics and effects. The angle pivots when you get closer to the next direction change, and turning and driving looks a lot smoother and more "natural". It isn't exactly necessary but it's a nice touch. Google on the other hand is about practicality. The app is literally smart and reroutes you depending on traffic. It still looks good doing it too.

    ios turn by turn always tells you...the next turn (right / left) etc., and once you are approaching it actually asks us to turn...unlike google maps..it just says once when u r approaching...the turn
