NJ Transit ALP-44 #4404 leaving Long Branch for Layover Yard

NJ Transit ALP-44 #4404 at the end of a commuter train pushing out of the Long Branch train station and entering the layover yard. Leading the train is NJ Transit Comet III Cab Control Car #5010. This car was orginally owned by Metro-North and if you look closely at the bottom of the car underneath the NJ Transit logos you can still see where the old Metro-North decals were located on the side of the car.

What's going to happen the ALP-44's once the ALP-45DP's come into service? Will they go to companies like Septa, MARC, or AMT, will they be scrapped or will they just be kept as back up's?

@MrZkr123 NJ Transit will retain some of these locomotives for the Atlantic City Express Service better known of course as ACES but currently their fate is uncertain. I've heard of several possibilities but right now I don't know what's going to happen.

in the front looks like the comet 3... but on the side, since the njt 3 stripe line has black on both sides tells me that it is a comet 4 . comet 3 only have black on one side
