I went to see him in a small club in Washington D.C. in the early 70s. He didn't sing the song I had come to hear "When I Fall in Love" but it was an amazing show for about 75 lucky patrons. His brother Red was in the band and even sang with him.

What a shame to have just missed Mr.Prysock at the Senator shortly before it closed in Toronto... and just before he passed. Need to get out and support senior musicians before it's too late.... Thank you sir for all you've left us with.

As a young girl from Hollis, Queens I remember that he lived not too far from our family. His sound was rich, elegant and of the best that America had to offer. Classy and could wow any circle and manage to retain his roots. Soulful sophistication; just one example of the array of styles Black American entertainers held.

saw him on a PBS station,"sometimes i worry "bout you Fred" i think there were three of them singing, i would love to find that homemade tape,where he talks about a "mac man" there is one song, as someone has said "what a voice" and they are right, brilliant music fun timeless

You got to see THE MAN,I have some of his recordings but to have seen him live I'm sure it was a show you will never forget.. His record called Don't misunderstand and I worry about you with the Count Bassie Band. are also great songs he recorded.

SH, one of my all time favorite singers. I got to see him, live, in Rochester New York, years ago. What a voice!
