thats sad.

That's not good news at all. I suppose many facets of life in the Bayou area are on hold right now. Nolan Ryan also works as an executive for the Texas Rangers, plus he owns the Round Rock Express. Both ballparks in Austin and Arlington were out of harm's way with Hurricane Ike. Given the circumstances, he may be conducive to respond to autograph requests accompanied by a donation which are addressed to one of those two ballparks.

Nolan Ryan signs for a donation in care of his charitable foundation. I think it's $35.00 for cards. Google "Nolan Ryan Foundation" for more details. He signed an 8x10 photo and a 1982 Astros yearbook with him on the cover for me in 2007. A legible Mattingly and McGwire autograph - and Mac's rookie yet? Score! Vida stopped signing his last name? Odd. But seriously, Ryan does sign in the mail for a donation, usually a three month wait.

do you think he'll ask for a donation, cause i sent him a request to his home address in august, still haven't gotten it back yet though

Your august request is most likely gone.

The NR foundation suffered damage in the hurricane so I'm not sure if they will be doing any signings any time soon.
