  • You are 62 yrs old? I don't believe that. You look like your 42! What's your secret? If you were closer to CA, I'd ask you out. Keep doing what you're doing Mickey, you really help so many of us struggling to learn the pedal steel.

  • 52.....LOL...Not 62..

  • I don't remember if I ever wrote to you to thank you, but every time I sit down to study with one your videos, it's one of the things that crosses my mind. Thanks, man. Really.

  • And you're very welcome man....really!..

  • Hey Mick, are your pedals all at the same height? I just recently got myself an LDG Sho-Bud and the pedals are currently setup so that the A pedal is higher than the B and the C pedal rests a bit lower than the B pedal. Is that typical? I have a feeling that it would be easier if the pedals were all at the same height. Maybe you could do a video about pedals with the camera on your foot. Anyhow, thanks for the awesome videos, I'm watching them every day and making progress!

  • Yes Alexander, you want the pedals to reach the BOTTOM at the same time...A+B B+C..Therefore the pedals will have to be staggered to get this

  • hi mickey i have played the dobro for 30 years and now i am retiring i have time to study the pedal steel. hope i didnt wait to long i just got your biginners book.i have been watching your tube videos and i must say great.... thanks mule

  • @Singlpilot Could you please give a more detailed explanation of how the pedals should be set up. I spent much time tying to find an answer on Steel Guitar Forum and found one comment. Pedal A is set to horizontal and then two turns higher. B was set so that when A is down I can operate the LKR without touching the B pedal. C was then set to the same height as the B pedal. What would you recommend? Thanx 4 the vidz, Hans

  • Hey Mickey

I got your email. I sent you some pics. Haven't heard back. Hope you liked them.
