  • Right on Mr. Olbermann! But one thing, please quit calling Bush Sir. In order to be called sir in my book, you have to deserve it. And that scumbag deserves nothing but our contempt and of course, Impeachment.

  • Right on! I do however wish you wouldn't call Bkush 'Sir" He does not deserve my respect enough to have that title.

  • It's so sad that there are moonbats who actually listen to this boob Olbermann.

  • Ronald Reagan's love affair with Saddam Hussien.

  • By your reading of the Constitution then all Federal Regulations are Unconstitutional. That being said you do have a point.

The problem is that the only remidy is impeachment or what we did in 2008.

If we do what Michael More wants and put our former VP and President on trial it will open a Pandora's box.

  • Sorry. You're mistaken. The war is not legal. I clearly explained how this is so multiple times previously in this thread, to someone who clearly didn't want to deal with it. Please scroll up. Beyond that, I would urge you to do the research and prove it to yourself. Congress did not declare war. They authorized Bush to use force as he saw fit. This effectively transfered their war making power to the executive branch, which is clearly illegal as per the Constitution they all swore to honor.

  • The war was legal because Sadam violated the cease fire agreement from the 1991 Gulf War.

Now if you ask me if it was a wise thing to do and if Secritary Don had any idea how to make Iraq a free nation I think we might agree.

  • As I remember after 9-11 the congress did give Bush a decloration of WAR on who ever and what ever he saw fit to war on. I think Maxine Waters voted against it because she did not want to give Bush that much power.

  • You are corect

  • I heard him say on one of his countdowns, referring to Lincoln, "Our greatest president." Or something to that effect. In any case, I'm not sifting through all the episodes I've watched to find it.

It doesn't have to be the reason. I doubt there's a single person on this earth who holds Lincoln as his favorite president 'because' he suspended habeus corpus. The simple fact that he's bashing Bush for doing the same thing smells a little.

  • Is Lincoln Olbermann's favorite president? I'd be interested to see a source for that claim.

Meanwhile, for the sake of argument, let's assume it's true. However long the list of reasons Olbermann might have for making Lincoln his favorite president, I guarantee that suspending habeus corpus would not be anywhere on it.

  • I'm not sure, but didn't Lincoln suspend Habeas Corpus? Olbermann called George Bush a greater threat to us than the terrorists for something his favorite president did?
