what you will need for guitar box you will need a PSP with custom firmware I am running 5.00 m33-6 the old fat PSP or a slim PSP if you have the slim PSP You will need eloader 1.0 because guitar box will not run without eloader
6.3mm MONO JACK PLUG to RCA PHONO http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o180/zaperbaby/SSA54119.jpg you can get these at just about any music store if you are connecting it to a mixer or the way I did you will need three of these if you're connecting to a standard guitar amp you'll need two
Thank you for this video, I know its rather old but it does make a great reference. Just wondering, Did you notice any LAG? I'm interested in doing this for the delay functions, they sound really clean :)
@ 0:18 you can see the 3 Indents on the Input jack for the PSP. This is an IPOD video cable, The 3 Indents are for the 3 cords (Video+Left/Right Audio). Since this cable can carry audio signals you can see which 1 of the 3 you can hook your guitar up to because one of the ends of the cables is going to be for the Mic input. Once you figure out which cable does what you can hook up your guitar and take the remaining 2 ends (Which will be left+right audio output) And hook them up to an amp.
You need the PSP remote because it supports the MIC input. The PSP's headphone jack alone will not accept Headsets(They will but it won't input anything from the mic)
A standard Headphone jack has 2 Indents, Usually coloured Black. Headsets have 3. The 3rd one being the Microphone input. You need to find which indent on the jack is the microphone and which 2 are Left and Right audio output Signals. Then you can wire up your guitar + output to your amp or speakers.
thanks for the vid....i actually made this 2 years ago and now to do this again!
