  • Best song ever.. Cemented me as a Social D. fan for life.. if I could just write just one song this powerful, this incredible, I believe I'd die a happy man.. wonder why he doesn't play it in concert often though? Seen them about a dozen times and they've never played it.

  • @oldblue21 You are spot on! Pickin' up a Social D album is like pickin up the Bible--- light at the end of my tunnel no matter how long!

  • I love this song! I just saw them at their premiere in Hollywood for Machine Gun Blues! Amazing show and what a great band. I've known them most of my life! Glad to see them still going strong!

  • White Light.... was the album that made me a fan.And this is still my favourite tune.Sex Love and Rock N Roll was also an amazing album.I mean those two albums can be listened to from beginning to end.I was thinking how could they top them or release a CD just as good?I knew they would change things up for the new one.Still Alive and Gimmie The Sweet And Lowdown are my favourites.

  • i miss my girl so much </3

  • the new album... the second half is the best part. honestly tracks 2 & 4 do nothing for me. tracks 1 and 11 are eh, but the rest of the album is great. 3, 5 ,6, 7, 8, 9, 10. all great. been a fan since White Light. i guess when you get more experimental, the ones that don't work out stick out pretty bad, more than a more consistent album would. but this new album has some GREAT moments. more than enough to keep me ( a lifetime social d fan) happy. long live mike ness. see you in richmond soon.

  • I've been a Social D fan for damned near 20 years now. I absolutely love this tune and the entire 'White Light"....album for that matter. It was raw and angry as hell. Not sure what to think of the new one at this point. Will be seeing them in May.

I'm with ya Mike. Seems a little vanilla to me. A little too pop-ish. While I understand that every band and songwriter goes through transitions in their life and career, I kind of miss the attitude the older stuff had. It was kind of like "F*ck you, you don't like us then go p*ss up a tree." Whereas the new stuff kindly asks "Please listen to me. I won't hurt you. Let's be friends." But whatever, I don't wanna jump all over the new album yet. Ya gotta let it soak in.

  • It never does.. So what does everyone think of the new album? It's ok, but i'm a little disappointed.. Seems too soft.. I mean I loved the 'White Light..' album, but haven't warmed up to this new one yet.. Lets hear some opinions... except for the douches.. You can tell your many cats, because nobody cares what you think.
