You need not wonder why...
It was hot.
Even after the sun went down...the heat was on, the sky was burning and the air was electric. If you stood still for one moment, you could actually see the swell of energy that made Bridle Bash IV the only place to be on the night of Saturday August 7, 2010.
Smiles were ear-to-ear on 1,500 guests as they walked the red carpet, across the media wall, through the bongo scene and back to the bash that turned to fire at 9:15pm when the legendary Burton Cummings appeared centre stage and began to rock down the backyard with No Time.
Wherever you stood, shook, splashed or swooned, you could feel the magic of Cummings and The Carpet Frogs mixing with the fervor of the crowd, which carried through 'til sunrise.
Thanks to countless volunteer hours, ticket sales, donations, sponsorships and a whole lot of dedication, the biggest, most dramatic impact of the night was the $600,000 that was raised for The Bridle Bash Foundation. Proceeds are earmarked for new, groundbreaking projects being developed through each of the charitable organizations aligned with Bridle Bash IV:
Giant Steps, supporting kids with autism
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
Reena Foundation
Mount Sinai Hospital
The Bridle Bash Foundation is made up entirely of volunteers who run our day-to-day operations, management and accounting. This unbelievable level of good will and generosity allows us to fulfill our mission of providing financial support to Canadian charities that focus on health, research, treatment and support for adults and children.
Cause it's the new Mother Nature taking over...
Oh what a night!!!!!!
