"best actors, best sound editing, cinematography, ..." come on - we're talking about crappy us remakes and why the don't work out. you are exaggerating by far.
-

-
As usual the American version is gonna be crap
-
@CLing5 OMG! THANK YOU!!! I've been waiting for someone else to think exactly what I was thinking! My parents always ask why I watch korean television, and your explanation is exactly the reason why so thank you! :D

@omganya were u watching top ten scariest movies?
-
I saw the korean version , its so terribly AWESOME!But i haven't seen the American version so i have to see that......
-
this isnt the uninvited. what is this?
-
@patkacrazy no its not and no its not. theyre both about a girl who imagines her sister to still be alive and blames it all on her step mother
-
i dont get it: the uninvited is about the stepmother being evil, and some children that apear in the house ( ghosts and stuff) i just saw the korean trailer of a tale of two sisters and thats about THE TWO SISTERS BEING EVIIL, not just one stepmother...
can someone please explain what THE UNINVITED and A TALE OF TWO SISTERS have to do with eachother
-
Well they should at least put the Korean director's name in the credits or something, and at least mention A Tale of Two Sisters instead of pretendind like they came up with the idea all by themselves.
The remakes flop because there is no passion in the film during production. The asian filmmakers, especially the Koreans, poor their heart and souls into these films. Every detail is looked at. They have the best cinematography, sound editing, and it many cases the best actors. They by far have the most original stories. You can't remake these films, because they were originally done by people from a different culture, with different beliefs. It loses something when it crosses over cultures.
