"Things We Said Today" was recorded on June 2, 1964 for the Beatles' upcoming film "Hard Days Night". The song wasn't included in the movie, but it did make the album although it never made the Top 40 as a single release. It was composed solely by Paul McCartney, although credited to both McCartney and Lennon, and was derived from Paul's then on-going relationship with Jane Asher.
