From the smallest bits of plastic, car batteries and appliances, to enormous fishing nets, "stuff" from our daily lives makes its way to the ocean by the ton every day. As Earth's growing population consumes more disposable goods, the items we discard, even thousands of miles inland, are choking our ocean planet. Join us in the battle against marine debris and Dive Against Debris. Your local actions contribute to a clean, healthy future for the ocean.

  • @Hallamfoebell go for a swim and get that shit outta there ;) if ure not anywhere near an ocean, donating to a legitimate website/foundation like projectaware would never hurt. Biggest thing you can do depends on where you are and how far your willing to go : )

  • How do we pick up the trash and keep our oceans clean?

  • Nice one guys! I hope @seasave1 is an isolated incident and that batteries ARE removed.

  • We once had a DRN officer in the Keys tell us to put the batteries BACK in the ocean. We were no better than the person who put them in. Batteries are considered hazard waste material, so we had to put them back. Nobody had told us to put trash BACK in the ocean.
