All my life I've loved darker things. While everyone else reached for the light, god, jesus, the sun, summertime, the beach, etc...i hated it. I preferred winter, autumn, cold mountains and desolate places with just me and nature. Most people suck, because they are fake, always trying to fit in or please people...I've never had many friends, not because i was an asshole, but because everyone got on my nerves. The few friends i have i cherish, it's quality not quantity. This music is my soul.

This is in fact an incredibly sad song.. just listen to the depression and anguish and remorsefull hate of these artists... so lost and forgotten they believe the darkness will strengthen them... that the darkness is their strength.. it is only familiar... we cling to what is familiar to us and when all is lost and we know not our way... we cling to the darkness that has gotten us there.. just like people clinging for life on the gov. believe it will protect them when it will only enslave you.

@burica77 Oye, la música no tiene que ver con religión, ni con nada. Estoy harto de que la gente enmarque la música. Hijos de la grandísima puta. La música es algo que sirve para alimentar el alma. Da lo mismo que estos enfermos de Dimmu Borgir adoren a Satanás(la letra habla de eso), pues la música tiene algo que es muy especial: cada uno tiene derecho de darle una propia interpretación. Así que mi amigo, si eres católico, no tienes por qué sentirte mal. Disfruta de la música y olvida la letra

@FindingMyWayHome11 I think you need medication. However, I agree that this is an incredibly sad song...and actually is beautiful. The paradox of all this, is that a satanic band, created one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. The satanic lyrics are a bad thing, though. Well, this is only my opinion.
