To be fair it did seem like you guys were trying to put emphasis on the range anxiety portion of owning an EV. It was not until the 3/4 of the way that you guys briefly mentioned that over 100mi round trip commute is not your typical American one. But people, please watch the whole video before you comment and you'd realize they mentioned that. Hopefully one day it would only take 5 min to charge an EV. Hopefully that one day is soon. Props to Nissan for having balls to put this car out.

Dude you should calculate you commute .......110 mile was not in you range this not average commute and is not A Day in the Life of an Electric Car.............. buy Tesla

@shredderbc It looked like they liked it in this and other videos. Well I for one enjoyed the video and like the car too.

Here in Hawaii, I only drive about 15 miles each way so 30 a day. Also gas here is almost 4.50$ a gallon. and I spend about 150 for gas a month averaging 30mpg. I heard according to the Hawaii Electric company it costs 3 dollars to fully recharge an electric car. So that would cost about 30 dollars a month instead of 150. Thats 120 per month of savings and 1440 of savings a year. That money is enough to get 2 tickets to go to the mainland to see my family there :D

I'm sure many won't believe you didn't stage this review, but I think you did a fantastic job of showing what goes through an "average Joe's" mind when attempting to conquer his range anxiety. It's exactly what _I_ go through, even though I've done one 110 mile trip in sunny SoCal with no extra charge (but traveling about 35-40 MPH the whole way). Once we get more charging infrastructure (and people start charging _reasonably_ for the juice - yes, $1/hr is reasonable), then we'll be good.

Great job on the video guys, you made the car look as bad as you could while providing some awesome mis-information.. Im sure the complementary gas cards from chevron are in the post! Keep up the good work

@romanmicagearguy You guys were fair in your assessment.

What the hell am I doing living in Florida? This place is not progressive whatsoever.
The host of the video clearly had in his mind to put down the electric car as his agenda for the video. You can't rely on his thinking because, at his age (I'm guessing around 50), he is accustomed to the gas car and it is ingrained in his mind that alternative energy cannot compete. The younger generation is a different story, their minds are still developing and still open to new ideas. HERE COMES THE ELECTRIC CAR FOR THE FUTURE!

@nemonetworkmedia Oh my, you are soooo wrong on soooo many points. 1) Neither of us is 50. 2) We really like electric cars. Take a look at our other Leaf or Tesla videos. 3) We're pretty sure that a 20-year-old would run our of juice in an EV at the same time as a 40-year-old.

I think a car like that would work in L.A. I commute just under 23 miles each way and I would love to have a car that I can simply plug in at home. Question for you boys, if I drove it about 22 miles to work, how long would it take me to top it off at my work using the regular power?

@FrancineRA1970 I'd say about 3 hours or so

Good job guys! I guess you could have started the video with the car fully charged but you wanted to show what would happen if you were almost out of charge. That was goal so well done.
A Level 3 charger, as what should be in public charging points, would have charged your Leaf from zero charge to 80% capacity in 30 mins. Your half full Leaf would have taken about 20 mins to fully charge. Charging with lesser of a charger is analogous to filling up your Range Rover with a teaspoon.

@JRoque250 Great point and we completely agree with you except there are zero Level 3 public charges in our area. BTW: The Leaf started the day with a full charge and 91 miles of range.
