SHTF / WROL : Preppers Toilet Paper Alternative

During a long term Shtf Toilet Paper is going to be scarce , its going to become a luxury item folks , and eventually your Toilet paper Luxury will run out , whether it be you didn't store enough or maybe your 14 year old uses a whole roll of tp every time he goes to the bathroom and before you know it its all gone . During a major SHTF going to the grocery store will not be a option , Now there are many alternatives to toilet paper , leaves, ,old newspapers , a corn cobb lol etc etc . I was trying to solve this TP problem the other day
and while I can say from experience Leaves are not all that bad , I prefer a More clean and less "natural" approach. I came across and was reminded of the Age old concept of the Bidet , using a stream of water to "clean up" after a Toilet session .

Diesel fuel works for burning off the turds in the bowl.

Never thought about using a hand pump sprayer to clean the dookie. Tried to use the ole pressure washer once though.Man I tell ya all that was the last time for me.

Ya otta build an enclosure around that dumper and something to hang the telephone books from.

In West Virginia we use one huge freaking nail and nail the book in the top corner at least 1.25" from the edge of the book.

This is essentially a bidet. I've got a bidet in my bathroom and I friggin love that thing. It's been months since I've had to use TP ... and that was only because I went out of town on a business trip. Washing is SO MUCH better than wiping.

Just think about it ... if you got feces on your hand or face, would you wipe it away with dry paper and call it good, or would you wash it? I don't know about you ... but I'd go for the wash every time.

Sprayers are good for hot weather also, I can attest to experiencing that today actually as it was very hot, and I used a pump sprayer [smaller unit costing $8] to get some relief from the heat.

theres the usual alternatives, napkins, paper towels, tissues and when all else fails coffee filters work great too......sad I know that .....LOL

Thanks great idea. The wild plant Mullien was also known as "Cowboy Tolet Paper". It has huge soft fuzzy leaves and grows wild in most places. Might want to save some seeds!
