I think the Russians were the first to ice race, they raced outdoors. They got their traction with long nail like spikes on their tires. The reason this track is so small is that it is a hockey rink, these bikes are actually flat track race bikes, 1 gear, no brakes and hit high speeds quite fast. These riders are the ballsiest of all bike racers.

I really didn't think rednecks could have gone further. I thought they'd stay the way they are and be timeless fixtures in america...but they done and showed me that they're innovators!
