  • what you're looking at is a corn sucker, some people say cut them off, some people say don't. The minimum size plot of corn you should grow for good pollination is 10ft x 10ft , not in one long row or 2 long rows but about 5 10ft long rows about 2ft apart. Wait until nite time temps are at least 60 degrees before palnting corn if you want good germination. Spray with Bt for corn ear worms. Enjoy. I hope this helps

    Bacillus Thuringiensis is the bt so they added some stuff to the corns dns and now it makes a pesticide inside the plant . you dont have to add it. but you cant leagay harvest your pwn seeds either. its a sad cycle espicaly in 3rd world countrys.
