my dad wasn't there for most of my life. i met him 4 years ago&listening to this song made me realize i wasn't alone&i should forgive him because he made me stronger and he loves me no matter what

A lot of us have problems with daddy dearest and I'd rather not speak of my own, but I'm glad that I could listen to Lily sing about it and make me realize that I'm not alone.

This song is totally same here. I havent seen my dad in years only but because hes so immature. All he does is drink and play video games, he acts like everythings just wonderful when i get a chance to talk to him. Im always happy to hear from him and I do know he loves me very much. ;)

I didn't know this song was about her father, and I totally thought it was about a guy she loved. If taken in that context, this song completely describes my life right now.
