  • I got served some fried plantains when I visited Cuba many years ago, they are very good. I learned a thing or two from this video, thanks!

  • Great video Adriana. But you mentioned that plantains cannot be eaten raw. People eat them raw all the time. I'm from Nigeria and eating raw plantain is as common as eating banana. More filling and delicious.

    We also fry, bake, grill them on open pit/grill.

    Different cultures have different ways of cooking them.

  • We use canola oil. I don't recommend strong flavored oils (olive oil or peanut oil).

  • Great video! What kind of oil did you use for frying?
