I always thought the Germans invented terror bombing against civilians, but I guess I will have to reconsider that. Seems like the USSR was pretty good at that also.

German army had a presence in Finland. Many Finnish soldier were offered the iron cross. Some of them were jew by the way.

You might want to take a look at the Spanish Revolution of the early 1930's, all kinds of firsts were made there.

my grandfather fell at ÄYRÄPÄÄ church hill in july 13 1944 in a counter attack, In fact Churchill send a letter to Mannerheim and was very sorry that according to the loyalty of Englands allies he was forced to declare war against finland, and he mentioned that allthow we would be at war England would never fight even one battle with finland, Mannerheim sent a response thanking Chutchill for being a gentleman.

Ok. Now i understood your point what you ment by that war declaring. But its still good that Finland didn't declare war with other allies because the Russians decided to withdraw the plans for invading Finland. Stalin got an impression that it would have led to similar situation as the USA now has in Irak & Afghanistan.

If Finland would've been at war with USA and France the presence of american and french supervisors in the committee would've had its weight against the russians.

That basically gave the Russians free hands to bounce us around. They were practically looking for reasons to invade us again! They dismantled volunteers' organizations such as Lotta Svärd and Suojeluskunta claiming that they were "fascist organizations" They even went as far as to tear down monuments and memorials. The british supervisors objected to some of the russians' actions, but didn't have much effect on it since they were the minority.
