Christianity went through the Dark Ages and then came the Enlightenment where they had to ignore a lot of the archaic teachings in the bible. Islam is currently going through the same phase. It's gonna take a while before all muslims choose to ignore the archaic teachings in the Koran

Plus, the fact that most in our society dislike religions in general facilitates the public opinion of muslims in the states and my country since Islam is a relatively new and hence most practiced religion in the world. These are the problems I think we need to address. Does being American mean assimilating with majority?. Doing that will not change the perception of Arab/Muslim communities or people who practice their religion. We will just give up who we are to be in the winners camp.

@maysoonz And why do they think that way? Apparently 9/11 was blamed on religious practicing muslims. And Arabia is the birthplace of Islam. Do you expect Americans to deal well with Arabs/Muslims when they think 9/11 was done by religious muslims? It can happen if we distance ourselves from religion like most Americans. But if we don't we will be treated negatively. The media only showed pics of two men and a bearded man no one ever saw to put the blame on muslims. (continued)

Of course this is your choice, but I don't think you need to change your character so that Americans can think better of Arab or Muslim people. Of course Americans (Many) won't hate you for who you apparently are. They will hate you if you wear a headscarf, go to the mosque, read Koran on the subway. Thats the fact. (continued)

Yes, she is a "muslim", virgin Palestinian slut. Its not exceptionally them who made muslims look bad. Deception from the powerful in the west are the ones who lead hatred of muslims in the west. Though Arabs do tend to show superiority over the poor and weak. While being submissive to the richer and powerful. If an arab sees an indian, he will treat him shit. If an arab sees a rich European person. He will kiss his ass. Generally speaking not everyone is like that
