Voting Rights Law Under Fire in Supreme Court

Section 5 of the 1965 Voting Rights Act is being challenged in the Supreme Court case, Shelby v. Holder. Oral arguments will be heard Wednesday morning to determine if that key provision should be struck down. (Feb. 27)

I say the courts should defer these type of cases until 2031, when the law is set to expire. Republicans know they wont have a snowball's chance in Hell by then due to the changing demographics in this country.
