  • You'd think they would've made a cat spin-off, don't people usually do that? When you make something about dogs (Nintendogs/Nintendogs + cats) you usually make something with cats.

  • Actually, they did. Tonka introduced a line of cats called Pound Pur-r-ries, but they were never as popular as the original.

  • Proud to be an '80s kid!

As long as I had my Gizmo, Champ Bear, and Pound Puppy...then growing up was just a lot more memorable.

  • I remember "Pound Puppies." I had one in my youth.

  • they commercial was very realistic. please shop one of our poor puppys...OR THEY RECIVE THE GAS!!

  • I love the 80s and 90s stuff. Too bad I was born in only 1999...

  • @AnnainCA Well that's bull piss. Cats pwn dogs...

  • Tonka? The construction toy designers? How did they go from designing trucks to designing little dogs? Or vice versa depending on which came first.

  • "Remember the Pound Puppies? Sure you do, their marketing gimick was far too

clever to overlook. Buy one of our cute, SAD LITTLE PUPPIES, or else THEY GET THE GAS"

  • I still have my Pound Puppy; no way am I getting rid of it.
