  • hey im a sword collector is there a place i can buy a quality piece like what you have? im sure ill pay plenty for it right?

  • @thomas242007 The sword was purchased through Kris Cutlery, it been a long time but I believe it was around $200 or $250

  • Those last cuts were bad ass.

  • @deltatrevor Thanks

  • Knowing what this blade is made of would be helpful. Modern steel is of course greatly superior to the bronze and iron blades that a 'celtic' sword would have been fabricated from. A 'celtic' bronze sword would lose its cutting edge very quickly because the material is so soft.

  • @varangian1081 Carbon Steel from Kris Cutlery. Great Sword for the money. I have several others but this is probably my favorite.

  • of course i was...

i'm pissed off by all the people who think only a katana is a sharp weapon

  • @varangian1081 Celtic swords in the Roman period were pattern forged from iron and mild steel, layers hammered together, twisted into spirals, flattened, then woven together, with an iron edge added. It's worth noting that their swords tended to be at or above the quality of their neighbors. Celts weren't city builders but they were damn good metallurgists. It was from Celts in Iberia that the Romans copied their Gladius and Pilum. Credit where it's due.

  • I can imagine what the neighbors must think.

  • You are so NINJA! :)

  • @moep Heh, I bet they'd think different on the receiving end of one of those. XD

  • I'd love to see a Roman get one of these stuck up his gut. :)

I should get one of these as a combo with my battleaxe.

  • @mdbguitar cool thanks ive looked and thats about right for this type of sword
