Due to its business-friendly location in Midtown East and proximity to countless Manhattan attractions, the W New York appeals to both leisure and corporate travelers. The hotel features a cozy yet sophisticated interior with lighthearted design touches, a lively bar and lounge scene and the W chains signature Whatever/Whenever® service. Furthermore, the W offers several different holiday or theme packages, such as a spa-lovers Escape to Bliss package or a Swagger Package just for guys, so savvy travelers can find a great New York City hotel deal.

Housed in an elegant building amid a stretch of gray skyscrapers on Lexington Avenue in Midtown, the W New York provides guests a respite from the bustling urban surroundings. Leisure travelers can easily stroll to all the entertainment of nearby Times Square, while Central Park is a pleasant 15-minute walk away. Grand Central Station is just around the corner, providing quick and easy access by subway to the entire city. The 688 renovated guest rooms range from Cozy, with deep-purple ceilings and canopies, to Mega, which boast huge 270-square-foot showers. All guest rooms feature forest or earth tones, with zebrawood and custom-designed backlit headboards meant to evoke a tree house for adults. Six different suite types are available, including the loft-like Spa Studio Suite, which offers in-room Bliss Spa treatments, wood floors and Jacuzzi tubs. Extreme Wow Suites have outdoor terraces overlooking the Manhattan skyline. In-room flat-screen TVs range from 27 to 37 inches, and all rooms have the famously comfortable W Signature Feather beds; CD/DVD players and video libraries; Bliss bath products; and mini bars, plus Munchie Boxes filled with snacks. Internet access is available in rooms and public areas for a nominal fee.

While the neighborhood surrounding the W is light on nightlife, inside the New York hotel, there are two popular options. The elegant Whiskey Blue, a lounge helmed by hospitality impresario Rande Gerber, entices guests with a luxuriously classic interior designed by David Rockwell. W Café, located in the lobby, opens at noon for coffee and light fare and features the Oasis Bar, a popular after-work spot that stays open until 2 a.m. The adjacent Living Room features a cozy lounge area with couches and a fireplace. The on-site restaurant Heartbeat serves Latin Americaninfluenced cuisine for breakfast.

On-site fitness center Sweat® is on the fourth floor of the hotel, overlooking the street, and features modern cardio and weight-lifting equipment as well as a separate area for personal training. The popular Bliss49 Spa is also on the fourth floor, offering an extensive menu of services for face and body, such as the anti-aging Crystal Clearing facial and the Hot Salt Scrub for dry skin. Massages, waxing and nail treatments, such as the Mint-Flavor Pedicure, are also available, all utilizing Bliss products.

Shoppers will delight in both the on-site W the Store and the hotels close proximity to luxury shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue and Bloomingdales. Museum-lovers are within a mile of the Museum of Modern Art and within two miles of the professional sports, music and entertainment offerings at Lincoln Center and Madison Square Garden.
