"Brick" (Cover)

My cover of Ben Folds 5 classic "Brick".
The song is written on piano, so it was interesting doing it on guitar.
I luv the opening line of this song "Six am, day after Christmas..." (maybe that's why I finally got around to recording this song posting now.. second day after Christmas, lol).

This tune (by Benfolds 5) is awesome, they do it on piano bass & drums, the original is on YouTube somewhere (check it out & see how it's supposed to be sung, not like my sketchy vocals...). Heavy lyrics!

(It deals with his high school girlfiend's pregnancy).

Thanks Mary, this was my first time recording with my new microphone my kids got me for Xmas. The guitar is my 28 year old Fender G-5 acoustic, that just seems to be getting a deeper sound as time goes by.

I have a 30 year old 12 string acoustic Sigma (division of Martin). Unfortunately the front started to warp at the bridge, so it's pretty hard to play now.

You've got a great voice. Really enjoyed checking out your channel.
