My cover of Ben Folds 5 classic "Brick".
The song is written on piano, so it was interesting doing it on guitar.
I luv the opening line of this song "Six am, day after Christmas..." (maybe that's why I finally got around to recording this song posting now.. second day after Christmas, lol).

  • This is a new song to me, like it !!! Hey your a lefty !!!

  • Hey, thx for subbing. It looks like I'm a lefty, but I mirrored the vid image for some reason that day.

This tune (by Benfolds 5) is awesome, they do it on piano bass & drums, the original is on YouTube somewhere (check it out & see how it's supposed to be sung, not like my sketchy vocals...). Heavy lyrics!

(It deals with his high school girlfiend's pregnancy).

    Take care ~Greg~

  • We have the same taste,I love this song 5* very nicely done

  • I kept hearing this song on the canned radio at work & wondering, who did it? What's it about? Just an awesome tune, one of my fav's to play late at nite.

    Thx for the comment.

  • Hi from the Netherlands ;-)

  • Thanks Mary, this was my first time recording with my new microphone my kids got me for Xmas. The guitar is my 28 year old Fender G-5 acoustic, that just seems to be getting a deeper sound as time goes by.

I have a 30 year old 12 string acoustic Sigma (division of Martin). Unfortunately the front started to warp at the bridge, so it's pretty hard to play now.

You've got a great voice. Really enjoyed checking out your channel.

    Take care ~Greg~ (Canada)
