How high can you fly?
Since Second Life is a 3-D world, you may be curious as to what lies in the outer-reaches of space. Without special assistance, you can only get about 200m above the ground before you start to fall. The stable hover height is 50 meters above ground (terrain mesh). Thanks to residents for scripting ways around this! Gadgets known as "flight assist scripts" help you beat the limit. They are common, found at freebie shops and shared by volunteer helpers. For example you can get "Flight Feather". There are many things in space that you can explore. There is no limit as to how far you can go, however your avatar will deform at extremely high limits. The normal build height is 768m in the air. Search YOUTUBE.COM for "avatar deformation" to see Daedalus Young's video of getting to 1 million meters!

Flight Feather is freely redistributable, but I do prefer that people buy it - it's cheap, about L$50, and it's people buying it that have kept me updating it! I dont know how high I really get I try to test mines out but I kelt on going up with out stoping until I got tired of holding down the page up key on my key broad and my avatar isnt useing the standby hover father... she is useing something else Im not sure what it is call

thats Meters dude, not Feet!!!  just under 4 feet per meter... so times 1,000,000 by 4, thats in feet..
