This music helps me "understand" the movie. I hope that you'll enjoy yourself in this master peace of movie and , as I see it, appropriate music.

Un chien andalou (Louis Bunuel, 1929)
Nina Simone - I Loves You, Porgy
Nina Simone - Sinner Man
Nina Simone - Feeling Good
Nina Simone - Love Me or Leave Me

  • dont watch this version guys. the original soundtrack here is replaced with some other music

  • @mimichalek Actually there is no original soundtrack for this movie because in 1929 it was silent movie and music has been added in 1960 by Louis Bunuel.

@MASTERSCHIZO I agree with you, don't try to understand but rather let your thoughts spin until you go crazy. I think that this music of Nina Simone is helping to feel the anxiety, the tension, the inspiration of creating. If you feel that you want to do something, to say something, to express yourself, then, I think, you'll get the "point"...

  • For people who ask what this movie is about, I think its about trying to get laid.

  • I watched this in film class and practically fell asleep and then you post it here with this music and I'm like oh wow this movie is actually pretty good and I understand it not lol so thanx cause I literally fall asleep at any black and white film but this kept me watching and wanting to know what's next :)

  • Luis Bunuel chose the wordless Wagner's "Tristan and Isolde" for good reason. Putting a jazzy assortment of (albeit brilliant) songs as the soundtrack only works in theory. It is Not appropriate, I'm afraid people watching this version the firs time will not ave a clue what this movie is about. It really works against the movie.

  • I am so incredibly stoned and just watched all of this... It was amazing

  • one of the greatest films ever produced! xxx

  • really don't understand it at all..

  • @hardtrancextc

don't try to understand my friend. The film scenes are suposed to be hyperealistic images of Bunuel's and Dali's dreams. Go figure...
