ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

Peats Ridge lies in the heart of the gorgeous Glenworth Valley, just one hour away from Sydney, surrounded by trees, a river and all sorts of lovely things.


Now in its eighth spectacular year, the Festival has become one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year by our ever growing, fun loving, festival family.

At Peats Ridge you will find an overwhelming array of entertainment to satisfy your senses, all framed in a natural, beautiful Australian wilderness. The Festival has become famous for a place to discover new and high quality music and we're overjoyed when we see so many artists that have played at Peats each year go from strength to strength. Musicians like Angus & Julia Stone, The Jezabels, Cloud Control, Temper Trap and many, many others. We do our best to present music from new and emerging artists plus the finest international headliners. All based upon quality, originality and musicianship, no matter what the style is.

Music is only a part of the experience though, our community of festival revelers have all come to know and love Peats for being the site of a much bigger event, one filled with surprises and a break from the day to day. Arts and Theater is everywhere you look with installations, artisans and activities day and night.

It's a big place with a multitude of places, things to do and see, organic food, a Children's Festival for families, an Indigenous Festival, markets, workshops, places to chill and a chance to swim in the river.

Peats Ridge is also a world leader in presenting a sustainable event, with a whole area of the site dedicated to eco-living education and extensive environmental initiatives and awards. Our Model Event program is dedicated to innovating new methods for staging events with renewable energy and working with our waste to put it to good use. We're pleased when we win the odd award for this kind of thing (more than a few) and hear we helped someone learn how to do something in a different way for the better.

Oh, and don't forget the literally ginormous Fancy Dress Masquerade we have on New Years Eve!
