One family came back from a walk with a baby starfish! It fit in the palm of your hand. It was soo cute. It was just drifting at the edge of the water.

omg if i wake early i will go beachcombing! You can really find some interesting things on the beach. You do not find many animals right when you walk in the water in california.

@danceluvr30 If you go early in the morning you can find some interesting things. One morning I found a sea sponge and a shell about the size of my fist! The sponge was on the resort beach the shell from the beach to the left of the dining room.

oh yeah i am going to bring fins too. I'll be sure to wear my sandals while beachcombing!

On the resort beach, you don't need water shoes, but if your beachcombing off the resort, I would recommend them. I alway wore my flipflops when I was walking in the water. In some places, there are small shelves of sea grass and that is where the urchins seem to like to be, especially the white ones. The black ones are the worst ones, but are us usually deeper and attached to rocks. If you wear fins while snorkeling that works.
