novice stadium at shepherd ranch 6/27/10

OH MY GOD!!! HE WAS SOOOO GOOD!!!!!
wow! it was such a good weekend!!! i'll have more videos up later as soon as i get my actual computer back.
dressage:
32.2
we were tied for 3rd
i was soooo happy with the test. he only really spooked once in the beginning then he just flopped his ears and did what i asked of him (= i was told i was riding him a little too conservatively and he didn't really have enough energy, but that's fine for now. i'm not quite there yet with him. my trainer wants me to ride him like that until we get everything together. but ya really happy with the test
cross country:
i really could not have asked more from him!! he was a bit spooky at first, but by around the 7th fence he didn't really look at anything. after the first 3 fences, we were held up for 40 minutes because the rider in front of us fell off. kingo thought he was done so i didn't really know what to expect of him when we went back on course. but he was super! we were in third (not tied) after. double clean!
stadium:
stadium has been as harder or even harder than dressage for us. i really just wanted to finish. as you can see he spooked at the same spot twice, but we were able to go through it. oh my god, i was estatic! he was on my aids the entire time! double clean!

we finished the weekend in second!! qualified for area vi champs!!
our novice team (mill creek plus one) won!!
and what was really cool, my best friend won the divison (= we were tied but she got closer to OT on xc. haha i don't care, she deserved it!
such an improvement from ram tap! wow we've come soo far. it blows my mind
i have a bunch of videos from june lessons and what not i haven't been able to upload because of not having my computer, but i'll get them up in about a week!
