a PTSD / VA autobiography

by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes

Disturbing images and haunting flashbacks plague a young soldier recently returned from the war in Iraq. Re-adjusting to his former life as a college student proves to be more difficult than he ever imagined - connecting with veterans of wars past may be just what he needs.

  • Impressive clip. Thank you

  • Welcome to the club.

  • Hey great short movie, well done

  • Where can I go in the VA to get this kind of help?

  • Excellent depiction of the challenges faced by our brothers and sisters in uniform after combat. Pray for them and those they love! Tell them that "they did good...they did real good" ...and now it is our turn to do good for them...help them find help so they may heal! Happy Thanksgiving my friends one and all!!

  • wow, this was really good. well put together. expressed so vividly and without words, awesome.

  • Damned fine video. I am building a course on our campus right now - for returning vets that need to take a EDUC 1300 class (how to succeed in college). I hope to give back what my brothers gave to me.

    Semper Fi

  • Kyle you showed this short film to the group at Sunriver, Not sure if you knew how many OIF/OEF /Gulf War Veterans you spoke to that night but after working with these great people and being a recent retired active duty guy. I must say I was moved and your fellow veteran sitting beside me watching your work agree you showed show much depth and humanity to the issue. With your work you shared a point of view and insight with people who have the skill the desire and connection to make deference.

  • So I say to you BZ

It was a privilege to have been part of the group you shared with that night. My promise to you brother is to pass along the message to others that suffer each day. Hope comes in places and from people you do not expect.

    I have hope

  • Thanks, thanks for making this video. It really hits home and is accurate on so many levels. I had a tour in iraq and afghanistan, Im out now and all I can think about it going back in. I just cant seem to find direction out here. I cant find a purpose or at least a meaningful one. you did such a good job with this brother. you need to add more tags so this is more easily found, its a shame it only has 1300 hits so far.
