Latigo boots provide a ton of bang for the buck. Available in both waterproof and vented versions, the Cortech Latigo boots are a great choice if you need a sport boot that won't break the bank.

Hey quick question... I am stuck between getting these and getting the alpinestars smx plus boots. How much more boot do you get from the alpinestars? I really want to try these but do not want skimp to much on protection, do you think for an extra $100 plus dollars the alpinestars smx plus is that much more boot? And how do these compare to the smx 5s, would you choose them over these or the smx 5s over these. None of the dealers in a 200 mile radius of me sell sportbike motorcycle boots.

Hey great question thanks for asking. I've had a pair of these for about a year now. I also have a pair of Sidi Vertigos. For commuting and casual rides, like bike night, etc, I actually prefer wearing these because they are less stiff and easier to walk around in. For any longer, more sporty rides, or for track use, I'll take the Sidi's every time. So it all boils down to what you are doing to do with them. The SMX Plus is on closeout, so I'd personally take that one if you can swing it.

I am glad that you put your comment just above. I am torn between the Cortech Latigo Air and the Sidi Vertigo Air. I am mainly a street rider and go for rides of 30-50 miles or so, stop at the store and walk around a tad, grab lunch. I want something with great protection but still comfortable, and not sure if the Vertigo are too overkill for a street rider. But due to my skinny calfs I like the Sidi calf adjustment that these cortechs do not have. What would you choose?

If money was not a concern I'd pick safety over comfort and go with the Sidi's. If you are on a budget or more concerned about just being comfortable (or maybe not riding as aggressive) then the Cortech's are great boots. That calf adjustment on the Sidi's is nice though...

Thanks... I really only do semi aggressive riding, haven't got a chance to do a track day yet. Really like that the latigos color scheme for their perforated boot, but want the smx plus boots aswell. Decisions, decisions uuh.

That would be a good starting point - I have a pair of these on right now and they are fairly true to size, if not slightly on the snug side.
