  • Excellent. i,ll make a kite and implement a sounding instrument base on your invention.thanks and state tune.

  • @tkviper Excellent. Will check back to hear the new material.

  • @BlackstarNinja777 yup... should have a new video demo'ing my setup up in a few hours.. uploading a 1.5 GB HD video right now... The last flute in the video is the one I'm working on and I think it's gonna be the best one I've made so far in terms of playability, sound, and craft quality.

  • @tkviper Heheh sounds like you are all set. Keep up the good work!

  • @BlackstarNinja777 I play all kinds of instruments; a lot of chinese bamboo flutes plus the guitar (my main instrument). Within one week, I've collected all the tools needed to make bamboo flutes. Today, I completed the tool set with a mini workshop table. I bought a high power drill a few days ago. Yesterday I got "the magic saw", great for cutting bamboo quickly and precisely. I will do a video on my setup in a few days... Dried bamboo sound much better so that's what I use.

  • @tkviper Awesome, can't wait to hear it.

  • @BlackstarNinja777 I prefer drilling and filing for tuning purposes.. maybe when I've master the art, I'll try burning the holes with hot iron rods. My new shakuhachi is almost done. It's actually a hybrid flute; tuned like a shakuhachi E but the blow hole is a 30° angle cut paired with a partially open end of the Chinese Xiao flute's, which makes it easier to blow into esp. for those with thin lips who have trouble covering the full open end of a real shakuhachi. I'll demo it when I'm done...

  • @tkviper You can also create holes by burning them using very hot iron/steel rods. That way, the bamboo will not crack. *bow*
