This is truly embarrassing! :-) My sisters were HUGE Bay City Rollers fans and I had to pretend to like them (as a glam rock loving 8 year old fixated with Slade and T Rex) to avoid ridicule. I got my own way in the end though, for championing a Mickie Most act called The Arrows a couple of years later - ha ha! This version is only marginally less excruciating than the high-pitched helium screech-athon that is the Kenny one. Note - THERE WERE TWO DIFFERENT KENNY's who had hits in the 70s!

I love the guitar in this song, it is so hot!xxoo
This was a hit for Kenny in the UK. The song was written by Phil Coulter and Bill Martin, who wrote all the great early BCRs songs and also wrote songs for Kenny (such as their first, early single 'Give it to me now', which the Rollers later sang on Rollin'), Slik, and other bands on the Bell label (and others, I think Kenny were on Rak). No doubt this was only released outside the UK, somewhere Kenny didn't have a hit. I wonder if the Rollers also recorded Julie Anne and Fancy Pants?

Yes. This was released in the UK only, I believe, as a B-side. It doesn't appear on any of the albums. I don't believe they recorded either one of those other songs you mentioned.
