Thank you SO much for this well explained and clearly videoed tutorial on making an attractive ear flap. I've viewed and tried numerous videos and instructions and they are so complicated and unclear. I'm new to crochet, but determined. This video and explanation has encouraged me that crochet instructions can be logical if presented and taught in the right way!

For everyone asking how to do the braids or tassels. Here is how I did braids. I cut out 6 strings double the length that I wanted (but 3 work too, it just depends on how thick you want them). Pull the strings through the hole at the top of the ear flap, make sure they are even, braid, and tie off! Easy :)
