Rats are actually the least likely out of the pet rodents to bite humans. Hamsters and gerbils are much more likely to do so.

I was looking at your profile I read rats rats are very smart .
Lady down the block from me has an African Giant pouched rat its huge . Its great with her but doesnt like anyone else so you cant pet it.
here in Miami people like exotics lol . I looked into hooded rat same as yours but was afraid of being bit so never got one .
