Aurora Sky Station, Abisko, Sweden

Abisko in northern Sweden is considered to be the best place on earth to watch the northern lights. The place is located far above the Arctic Circle where northern lights are more common. Also, due to the fact that the surrounding mountains catch most of the clouds from the Atlantic Ocean, the Abisko area is located in "precipitation shadow". Thus the skies are clear most of the time.
