I recommend you watch in high quality for improved sound.

The 727 arrived a couple of days ago but this evening is the first chance I have had to play with it properly.

I noticed there were not that many videos on You Tube that use all the sounds on the 727 so I went out of my way to make a pattern with every sound in it (Although now I can see I missed the long whistle, but I'm sure you can imagine what it sounds like).

For those interested the synths are some old sequences I had put in the MC-303 ages ago played partly through a Novation Nova and partly though the MC-303's internal synth and as I'm sure you know if you ware watching this video the additional drums are TR-707.

  • GORGEOUS TRACK!

  • @jwesley1879 Thanks :)

  • Dope vids you've uploaded here!

Are there any particular pieces of equipment you've parted with & then had pangs of sincere regret having given them up?

  • @sstewar8 Thanks for the kind comments. I haven't actually parted with that much gear, The MC-303 was the first machine I bought as kind of a test to see if I was able to work with hardware before moving on to more expensive and more capable units I sold it last december because I hadn't sued it for about a year. The Nova was leant to me and I never got on too well with it so I didn't miss that much either. I always research before I buy and try to avoid being put off by gear snob reveiws.

  • Ahh love those sounds!!! Feels like I'm in the zone when I listen to this. Those synth sounds make the uncovering of the 727's sounds a sacred & blissful affair. Would love more info on the synth patching if you don't mind!!

  • @sstewar8 The synth came from a Novation Nova and a Roland MC-303 both of which I no longer own, I think the MC-303 was one of the organ patches although I can't remember which one and I think I made the Nova patch myself but again I can't remember anything about it. Sorry I can't be of any greater help.
