I won't even attempt to understand this.

Love the music in this, especially the part with the dolls being musical chaired and cooked.
This film to me feels like it's supposed to be about childhood and growing up from a child's perspective - so the playplace is uninhabited by people.
Also what happens with the dolls seems to be partly in reference to the very strange things kids would do with their dolls. Similar things happen during the part with the soldiers and army being ruined by a baby bottle.

Did the cat make anyone else think of "Confuse a Cat" from Monty Python?

This is about children growing up in a world of capitalism and war, and how new children absorb the world and become one with these things.

@832486426 The music is by Zdenek Liška. All the films he's made music for are worth seeing if even just for his music. But generally the films are brilliant too. Next to the Svankmajer shorts, I'd definitely recommend Valerie and her Week of Wonders, The Little Mermaid and Fruit of Paradise. See mubi.com/cast_members/7418
