"The Seasons" (Die Jahreszeiten), Winter - Joseph Haydn, performed by Võru Symphony Orchestra, mixed choir Hilaro and Võru oratorium choir. 23 April 2005
Haydn is not Baroque. He went through a Sturm und Drang phase around 1770 founded the classical symphony and quartet - took great pride in his operas, which he considered important, and went on to become a Romantic in many ways, disregarding classical conventions again and again, and seeking to express emotions, anticipating Schubert.
Haydn is decidedly not Baroque - he often preferred expressive monophonic melodies.
For most people, all this is classical. For me it is too. I just find it fitting in the classical, because it has these instruments. No genre expert I be but.

this was one of the later works in Haydn's life! and by then the classical period had already been well-established.

This isn't Classic Music, this is from the Baroque era, precursor to Classical.
