*** PLEASE NOTE ***
I've recieved copyright notice from UMG about the music in my video, so this may be removed from YouTube soon... It seems they feel I'm ripping them off somehow, obviously I feel I'm helping to promote their music. Anyways, the blood sucking copyright lawyers need to feed their family, so they'll continue to attack the little guy like this. Peace~

Game: Pang / Buster Bros (US) / Pomping World (JP)
Publisher: Mitchell / Capcom
Platform: Arcade (JAMMA PCB)
Year: 1989
Genre: Platform

Score: 7 / 10

A deceivingly simple, yet insanely addictive little platformer from the 80s.

  • Just wondering which version I would have played in Australia prior to 1995 - Pang or Buster Bros? Cheers.

  • Australia got the Pang version (we generally get Asia region releases). Both Pang and Super Pang were released before 1995 and could be the game your asking about. Buster Bros is the US title and the only difference is the title graphic.

  • Excellent job as usual..I enjoy watching these. :D

  • Thanks mate ;)

    great video love the cabinet..

hourglass slows down bubbles? i think you meant time...

  • Great video! Entertaining and educational. I just set the world record on this game recently. Twin Galaxies officiated it! I love this game.

  • I love this game! I must confess my parents' laundry money was always missing. But I loved this game so much. I was really addicted especially to the Mt. Fuji theme. I might even attribute my love of world travel to this game. Addictive would be an understatement. I miss this game so much!

  • Great review! This happens to be my favourite ever game, and I stumbled across this review searching for Slap Fight.

The only thing I could add to the review would be minor details: the more balls you hit of the same size consecutively the more points you get. Also, there's a little space man that goes across the top sometimes - sort of like Space Invaders - that will earn you 10,000 points.

There are lots more subtle elements to the game which make it a real joy to play! Very difficult though

  • I had it for the snes, I think it was "super buster bros" though. It's a good unique game.
