This maybe is one of the most underrated ps2 games ever...people keep comparing this with ace combat ...i personally have and finished the 3 Ace combat for ps2 but after play heatseeker I never have played ace combat again ..I Fin Heatseeker superior in many aspects ..I Like the sensation of speed, the details of the plains and naval ships, the ocean in ace combat its just a texture without movement ..and overall that you actually can activate the "stealth" on the stealth capable plains.

well, heatseeker is fun for an arcade flying action. fast flying and action is more intense.

ace combat is fun too, more story wise (yes it is still an arcade flying action) but control is tighter, aircraft are more detail, and there is a will in the story that makes you engage in the story and actually want to kill your enemy.

@Willy2537 the F/A is fighter/attacker. the F/A 14 was used in the navy which would want fighters and attacker if needed.

and i have no idea why the F-117 classified as a fighter...

@specterseal999 Wow, you sure knows a lot about military planes! I've been playing this type of games for years and haven't notice it up to now!

Anyways, I've played all Ace Combat games on PS2 and have to say that NOTHING can beats the in-depth stories of Ace Combat. But about the gameplay, well, from what I've see, Heatseeker gameplay is cool, too. Better go grab it at store and try it... (But Ace Combat rulez ^^)

PS. What does F/A stands, and F-117 is a bomber, why does it starts with F?
