A comparison of the original stock wildlife footage and the doctored footage used for Asian Poweraid sports "very real power" campaign. The advertising company was Wieden & Kennedy and the campaign won a Cannes lion advertising award.
Compositing software such as Adobe After Effects or Shake has been used to insert images of kayakers recorded in a pool or lake into existing wildlife footage of a leaping orca.
Wild orcas are too careful to do something as reckless as this.

  • In regards to what topic?

Fluid dynamics is a subject beyond most people's comprehension so that's not surprising. Do you understand what a karman vortex street is in regards to the aerodynamic wake behind a vehicle or stationary object in moving airstream? Do you understand the coanda effect or bernoulli?

Possibly not but although such topics are beyond most people's comprehension all aviation relies on them and so such topics are not shit. They are simply reality.

  • haha i like the end caption. 'orcas aren't stupid'

  • just like 9/11. google "september clues"..you'd be surprised.

  • @kathie1441

He didn't go under. He stayed on the surface and since he was digitally inserted in the first place, he was just removed from the composite when lined up with the orca.

A separately shot guy who was doing an upside down roll recovery was then composited into the same general area and thus looked like he was surfacing. It's very simple digital compositing techniques used that anyone can do in software like shake, nuke and adobe aftereffects etc

  • so what caused the kayaker to go under then?

  • good debunk

  • either way you look at it, that whale got good air

  • @Grommo u just made me feel stupid lmfao
