  • Did the station go off the air?

  • @Sheri451 No just changed it's format ... for the worst :). Thanks for watching !!!

  • @Johnnyboy792 Sounds like TV Land does now. All they show is a bunch of crap. I miss watching The Little Rascal's and The Addam's Family, and The Munsters. I also remember watching those Popeyes the music played. And The Three Stooges too. I loved the ones with Curly, Moe, Larry and Shemp, but I hated the ones with the man Curly Joe.We watched Bozo too. I tried to get my oldest nephew in his club to win a prize when the child did that threw the balls in the bucket.

  • @Sheri451 At the time, before the advent of cable, WPIX had their own family. Bozo, Captain Jack, Officer Joe Bolton and others, and they all looked directly into the camera as if they were talking to you personally just like WNEW ( I have a video of that too :0) ) Now it's been replaced by Jerry Springer, and Court shows. Where is a kids childhood ? Maury Povich Show is my my town, and I wouldn't see him if you payed me. A sad comment but i'm happy to keep the memories alive. Thanks again !!!

  • This is clearly a labor of love! Thank you! It is a shame that the 'kidult' shows are gone for ever, with the exception of some 'personals' that I think Chuck has under his FACEBOOK page. If you haven't, you should try and 'friend' him-he's very approachable and he's a fan of his fan's.

  • @Maxxnme Will do Maxx, I sure will :0)

  • this was great.

  • @Johnnyboy792 We also had our own local childrens entertainers, We had a man called Fred Kirby, he was a singing cowboy like Gene Autry, he would introduce The Little Rascal's and on another channel was a man I think he was the station's weatherman, he was Joey The Clown. Another one had a man called Sargent Mills, he showed cartoons along with a man called Mr Bill he showed cartoons. I hate Maury Povich AND Jerry Springer. I take care of a three year old and I only let her watch PBS Kids

  • Wow, what a great station channel 11 used to be. I don't think anyone has turned on that station in my house in 20 years.

  • WPIX for Dore Gold sirs....
