I'll give her props for doing it her way, but I think it deviates too much from the original; it's barely recognizable, and the original was brilliant!

I am no fan of Beyonce but she sings it straight,and there are no

ur a fuckin tool bro. the only part that was uncessary was the 20 sec note she held at the end and u and the other pressed haters r pissed off cuz ur favorite singer (whoeever that might be aren't capable of it. she did a moderate amount of riffing throughout the entire song (just like beyonce does) and her vocal dexterity goes perfectly with it bcuz it's blues/soul and xtina is known as a blue eyed soul singer. so plz, sit down and stfu.

Etta James also hated the fact that it was Beyonce who performed the song at the White House,instead of herself,which probably influenced her opinion

of Beyonce's version.

A great range is not necessary for this song,something Christina doesn't seem to understand,and is probably one of the reasons posters dislike her

version.It's also something that you don't seem to understand either.

Etta James hated the way Beyonce sang the song, besides she doesn't have the rang or abilities that Christina has. Did she over do it? Yeah, definitely. But she's still the best.
