wow, they did have something correct, if the humans would have fought againste the "celerights" thry would have vaporized. the gravity on the moon is not the same as earth, and celerights would heve been way weeker or less voluminous.

Melies ingeniousness film 'A trip to the moon' was the first to establish science fiction cinema. Bravo!

1001 movies you must see before you die! Good choice for the first film utterly astounded by Melies, first ever science fiction film. Great job highly entertaining.

wow. It's amazing, this was made in 1902, yet it still holds up. These days so much is done by a click of a button so when I look at this - I have no idea how they could come up with this only a few years after simply filming a train was special. The effects are still astonishing. Melies is a genius.

It's a shame that Thomas Edison stole some copies of Melies films, so Edison made all the money and not Melies. This is 1 of the reasons y i hate Thomas Edison!
