Catholic Church in France w/ singining

I was in France visiting the umh... a tapastry thing which I forget what it's name is (way to go). It was like De _____ Tapastry... it was in my History book... somewhere... and decided that I'd go into this church that was in a town near by. Was I allowed in the church? I had no idea, but I went anyways. Apparently they were practicing hymns for the Sunday sermon.

Er, uh France, a place about 45mins or so from France, in a tiny villiage thing. It's near the museum where the Tapastry de Baux (something, lol) is held.
