@tagliavini pav had the best high notes

Preciosa interpretación y excelente voz, me gustó

Pavarotti's voice was more powerful, but Aragall was so refined !

Aragall has the voice of an angel. Magnificent, with a tragic quality which is emotionally moving beyond belief. He is perfection in Puccini as well as in the French repertoire.

The loudest singer ever is the tenor Carl Haus.

@CotaDangelo Pavarotti had a medium voice but bigger than Argall. He had one of the loudest voices ever because of his perfect technique. In fact on the rang list Pavarotti despite of his medium voice is on the 2nd place together with Tucker, who had a huge voice. Birgit Nilsson and Ghena Dimitrova are on the fifth place. Pavarotti was louder than these GIGANTIC voices because of his perfect technique. In 1985 in Tosca he drowned Dimitrova in every note they sung together.

@ThePavafan I think it, too. It seems that technique of Pav was much better than the Aragall one. Pavarotti could sing longer phrases than Aragall, and he could hold high notes longer than Aragall, and he could sing easier than Aragall. It is possible that the voice of Aragall was bigger and ringer than Pavarotti's voice, but that is not the most important quality in opera singers. I think that verismo and Puccini was not well suited for Aragall,He sang very well French repertory and bel canto.

pavarotti is better by a mile. pav is the greatest tenor ever with much more thrilling notes than aragall and domingo together.

I heard him live in 84 in Tosca. Also heard Domingo, Pav and Carrerras, Aragall had the most glorious voice with the most thrillinh high notes of them all.
