  • I've been petitioning to get ralph on the ballot in different states for 5 months now and the reason it is so hard is ballot access laws are very difficult in some states and take a lot of resources. North caraolina takes about 100 thousand signatures, texas about 120. Besides trying to get elected, one thing ralph is doing is trying to overcome these laws for future independents to have more of a fair shot. Nader is americas only hope. You ron paul people & garvel people should sign up

  • illuminati at its best!! its time for violent overthrow of the government and paint that white house black and up against the wall all politicians in senate congress bankers ceo's etc...

  • Part of the effort of the campaign is to demonstrate the absurdity of the ballot access laws. It is similar to James Meredith trying to register to go to the University of Mississippi knowing full well that he would not be allowed. The goal is to show how discriminatory the laws are to independents and third parties.

  • Yes, but we certainly cannot win by breaking the rules; that would only give the the country a reason to reprimand the Nader campaign. The rules are over the top, but they are simply unavoidable.

"And the only way we will have a chance of getting on the debates is to get Nader/Gonzalez on a significant number of state ballots."

That is straight from the Nader website.

It is unfortunate but the only way to possibly be invited to debates is to get the signatures and recognition Nader deserves.

  • "...then he has no chance of being able to participate in debates"

Well, I don't think him being on the ballot will mean a damn when it comes to the debates. Remember the 2000 election? The two party system has a monopoly on how the system is run and who is allowed to play (if this weren't true then why is it so hard for him to even get on the ballot -and during Democratic debates -why were candidates like Kucinich locked out). No, make no mistake, we can't win by playing by their rules.

  • I have done a little petitioning with the Road Trippers, and I gotta say I'm impressed. I can't even survive a full day of petitioning, and these guys are doing it all day, nearly every day. I salute you. :)

  • My fifteen year old son really wants you to win. Even at his age he understands the corporate corruption/control and writes songs about it. You really need to target young Americans...they haven't been brainwashed into buying into the bull@*$* that the 2 parties are trying to shell out. And with me, well you have had my vote for years.

  • If he is not on the ballot in most of these states, then he has no chance of being able to participate in debates. That's just how America's 2-party system works.

  • Because you are going to get more votes if your name can be seen on the ballot.
